Generally, government colleges take admission either on the basis of a merit list or conduct an entrance test for admission whereas the majority of the private colleges take direct admission in diploma in agriculture course. Each method is explained as follows:

1. Entrance-Based Admission

Each state has its own entrance examination. So, if you want to take admitted to a government college then you must clear the entrance exam. Let me explain the procedure in a simple step.

Step 1:- Board authority releases a schedule date chart for registration, form submission, admit card, exam, and results. So, firstly you registered your account on your state education board website. You should give some basic details for registration.

Step 2:- After completing registration, fill out the application form for diploma courses. The application form required some details like your 10th mark sheet, aadhaar card, passport size photo, and signature. You upload these documents on the website and submit the form.

Step 3:- After filling up the application form you make payment for the application fees through the help of a debit card, net banking, credit card, UPI, and mobile banking.

Step 4:- After 10 to 15 days after completing the fee payment the authorities release admit card for the entrance examination. You download your admit card from the website. On admit card, all the information is given like exam centre, exam date, and exam timing.

Step 5:- You give the entrance examination on a particular exam date which is mentioned on the admit card.

Step 6:- The result is declared after 20 to 30 days of the exam. So you check your result when the result is declared.

Step 7:- After declaring the result the authority held a counselling round. So, you attend that counselling round. From there you get your allotment letter. After getting an allotment letter you go to that college and take admission.

2. Direct Admission

Many private institutes or colleges take direct admission without taking any entrance examination. It just takes admission on the basis of your scope in the 10th board examination. You can find such a private polytechnic college near your city.

Some private colleges also conduct their own entrance examination.
