What is ITI Electrician Course?

ITI electrician is a 2 years professional technical skill-based program in which students are taught about electrical appliances, electrical equipment, machinery, and other electrical-related things. In this course, you will be given in-depth information about electricity and its various terms.

You will get the opportunity to know the various materials that are used in electronic components and electrical circuits, as well as get the experience of reading various laws related to electricity.

The admission procedure for an ITI electrician course varies from college to college. In some states admission to ITI is given on the basis of a merit list, whereas in some states an entrance test is conducted to take admission to ITI.

Let’s see with an example, admission to ITI colleges of Odisha is done on the basis of a merit list, whereas in ITI colleges of Delhi, an entrance test is conducted to take admission to ITI colleges. The entire admission process is done by the respective state education board.
