ITI Electrician is an electricity-based course termed an Electricals course which is provided by ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes). It is one of the highly demanded ITI courses. Interested students do ITI in the Electrician branch after passing in 10th standard.

ITI Electrician course deals with the study of electricity and its use in different aspects of life. This course provides you with basic knowledge about Electricity and its uses in life such as how to do proper wiring in any space, uses and function of machinery, safely installation of electric products, properly use of electrical tools, and many more.

ITI in Electrician is a vocational training program of duration 2 years that is provided by the Directorate General of Training (DGT) under the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship.

These eligibility criteria are for students who want to take admission in the ITI Electrician course. These are applicable for both governments as well as private institutes.

  • Students must have passed in class 10th or equivalent examination from a recognized board of education.
  • Students should be at least 14 years old.
  • Students should know some basic English language.
  • PwD people are eligible for ITI Electrician Course.
  • Some institutes take an entrance examination before admission. So if want to take admitted to those institutes then you have to qualify for their entrance examination.

I give you an idea of ITI Electrician fees that are based on my experience. SC/ST categories get fewer fees as compared to the general and OBC categories students.
